Can I bring a plus one?
Due to limited capacity of our venue, we are unable to accommodate plus ones unless specifically indicated on your wedding invitation. We want everyone to share in the celebration and this will ensure that we are surrounded by our close friends and family. Thank you for understanding!
Is there a dress code?
We would love to see our friends and family get dressed up with us! Our dress code is semi-formal/cocktail attire.
Gentlemen- please wear a collared shirt, slacks, and dress shoes (sports coat recommended).
Ladies- please wear a dress or dress pants with a blouse with heels, flats, or sandals.
Colors to avoid for both parties are white, beige, and green.
Am I allowed to take pictures at the ceremony?
In order to ensure that we are all fully present, we will be having an unplugged ceremony. We request that you turn off or silence your phones during the ceremony. We have hired an amazing photographer to capture this moment. Please feel free to take as many pictures as you'd like during cocktail hour and the reception!
What's the bar situation?
We will be having an open bar! This includes most forms of hard liquor, select domestic and imported beers and a variety of wines! Top-shelf liquor can be purchased at the cash bar. Soft drinks will be available for guests under 21 and are strictly prohibited from drinking alcoholic beverages. A shuttle will be provided to and from the reception and hotel for anyone who chooses to use it.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Both the wedding ceremony and reception will be indoors.
Are children allowed?
Although we love all your little ones, we are unable to accommodate them all. Your invitation will be specific and will include the names of children invited. However, we encourage you to use this as a "night out" for yourselves!
Where should I park?
For the wedding ceremony, there is plenty of parking at the church. For the reception, there is also plenty of parking. If you plan on drinking and utilizing the free shuttle service, overnight parking at the reception venue is allowed.
How far is the reception venue from the wedding venue?
The reception venue (Bartlett, IL) is about 45 minutes from the wedding venue (Vernon Hills, IL). As a majority of our guests are coming from Walnut, IL, the reception venue will be on the way from Vernon Hills to Walnut. We thank you all for traveling this long distance to celebrate our big day!
I have a dietary restriction. What are my options?
If you are vegan or vegetarian, please select those options when choosing your meal. The chef decides on what those meals are the day of. Typically, the vegetarian option is a pasta and the vegan option is rice with vegetables.
If you are gluten free or have an allergy, please select one of the entrée options, and the chef will make changes to your dish to accommodate!
Do you have a hotel block?
Yes! We have a hotel block at the Holiday Inn and Express. Please visit the Hotel tab for the link. Keep in mind, the hotel block will close on February 26, 2025. A shuttle will be provided to and from the hotel and reception. The shuttle is available for anyone, but will only travel between the two sites.
